UK-based textile company Style Group launches new line of fabric technologies fighting against COVID

 
A new app would say if you’ve crossed paths with someone who is infected

Style Group, company that manufactures fabrics for homes, businesses and hotels, has launched innovative fabrics made up of Antivaltex, a new fabric that kills COVID type viruses at the very contact, and Aircleantex, a fabric that transforms ultraviolet light and purifies the air. The technologies have been proven to eliminate COVID and the flu virus, following the testing and approval of Microbiological Solutions LTC UK.

New MIT robot using UV light to kill COVID could be used to disinfect warehouses, schools, and offices

The system has already been used to sanitise the Greater Boston Food Bank. In tests, the robot covered a 4,000 square foot area of the warehouse within 30 minutes, providing enough light to neutralise around 90% of COVID particles. Teleoperators have first to teach the robot a route around the site, then it follows waypoints around a map of the venue. The next step is enabling the robot to adapt to changes in its environment.
