Lifeline Robotics' robot grabs the swab after the patient has scanned an ID card, then uses its vision system to identify the right points to swab in the patient’s throat. Once the swab is done, the robot places the sample in a jar and screws on the lid. The jar is then sent to a laboratory for analysis.

In tests, the robot covered a 4,000 square foot area of the warehouse within 30 minutes, providing enough light to neutralise around 90% of COVID particles.
