The Chak Daeng temple is famous for its environmentally conscious campaign which produces robes from the 15 tonnes of plastic bottles that it receives monthly. The COVID situation has encouraged a group of Thai monks to use the fibres extracted from the plastic to make face masks which can assist in protecting people from this virus.
